Arthine Cossey van Duyne is a growth, partnership and development strategist with 20+ years of experience leading global initiatives and international expansions across a unique and diverse range of companies including Microsoft, IBM, Apple, Disney, Google, Lucas Films, Twitter and Yahoo, as well as sovereigns (Civil Affairs and Military Intelligence in the US Army Reserves and Trade Advisor with British Consulate). She has guided internet technology, financial services, water technology and government teams to identify, plan and execute global and domestic growth strategies including leveraging emerging technologies, crafting go-to-market playbooks, sourcing and managing strategic partnerships and orchestrating exits.
Arthine has grown and led global teams of up to 30 direct reports. She has extensive international experience spanning Europe, Middle East, Latin America, Asia and Africa.
She is an adept and versatile leader motivating teams and driving outcomes in large complex organizations as well as startups seeking their first round of funding. As an investor she was key to crafting the startup’s exit strategy -- leading to an acquisition by a publicly traded company.
In 2015, Arthine launched WaterFunder, LLC, a strategic development consultancy that advises on global water and sewer infrastructure projects. WaterFunder program areas include grant research and management, corporate water stewardship solutions, and platforms to source and deploy phiianthropic capital. She educates the broader water and wastewater utility community through her service American Water Works Association (“AWWA”).
She is a Board Advisor to the Freshwater Trust (“TFT”) a water conservation NGO; and is a member of the TFT Development and Product Committees where she orchestrates and guides collaborative mission driven investments from impact investor corporations and foundations. She works closely with their product teams to scale their machine learning, artificial intelligence, Internet of Things and blockchain solutions for global water management and water trading scenarios.
